Eastern Orthodox theology is a type of Christian belief, which teaches that Jesus is both human and divine. It also believes that Jesus is begotten of the Father (God). Eastern Orthodox theology is based on the Bible, the ancient writings of Christian teachers, and the traditions of the Church. It believes that the Church is built on the principle of unity and is guided by the Holy Spirit. It focuses on Jesus’ mission to save all mankind from sin and death, and on the idea that each Christian can come closer to God through prayer and the Sacraments. This means that many Eastern Orthodox Christians will go to church every Sunday and spend time in prayer and meditation every day. They celebrate festivals throughout the year to celebrate Jesus’ life and teachings, and take part in special services to remember important events in the life of Jesus.
