Campfire

Okay kiddo, today we're going to learn about campfires! A campfire is a special kind of fire you make when you're camping or hanging out outside.

First, you need to find a good spot to make your campfire. It should be far away from anything that could catch on fire, like trees or bushes. It also needs to be in a place where the ground isn't too dry.

Next, you need to gather some things to start your fire. These are called 'kindling' and 'fuel'. Kindling is small sticks or twigs that can easily catch on fire. Fuel is bigger sticks or logs that will keep your fire burning once it starts.

When you have enough kindling and fuel, you can start building your fire. First, you make a little pile of kindling in the middle of your campfire spot. Then you light it with a match or lighter. Once the kindling catches on fire, you can add the fuel on top of it.

It's important to keep an eye on your campfire so it doesn't get too big or spread out of control. You can also use a special tool called a 'fire poker' to move the logs around and keep the fire burning nicely.

When you're done with your campfire, make sure you put it out completely by pouring water on it and stirring the ashes around. Then you can enjoy some yummy s'mores or hot dogs over the fire! But remember, never leave a campfire unattended and always be safe!
