Cantonese architecture

Okay little one, Cantonese architecture is a kind of style of building that people in Guangdong province in China use to make their homes and buildings look pretty.

The buildings usually have lots of bright colors and decorations, like flowers and animals, on the roofs and walls. They also have some pointy parts, called eaves, sticking out of the roofs that help keep rainwater from pouring down on people's heads.

Cantonese architecture also uses a lot of wood, stone, and bricks to make the buildings strong and sturdy.

One special thing about Cantonese buildings is that they often have a big courtyard in the middle where people can get some fresh air and sunlight.

So when you see a building that has lots of colors and designs and a big yard in the middle, you might be looking at a Cantonese-style building!
