ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Capacitive power supply

A capacitive power supply is like a magical box that changes the power you get from the wall into something your electronic devices can use.

Imagine your electronic device is a little boy who wants water. The wall socket is a big faucet with water coming out all the time. But the water in the faucet is too strong and fast for the little boy to drink directly. So we have to do something to slow the water down and make it easier for the little boy to drink.

In the same way, the capacitive power supply slows down the electricity coming from the wall so that your device can use it without getting overwhelmed. It does this by using a special component called a capacitor to store and release electrical energy.

Basically, the capacitor acts like a sponge that absorbs the electrical power from the wall and releases it slowly and steadily to your device. This makes the power easier to handle and keeps your device safe from damage.

So, just like the little boy with his cup of water, your electronic device can now use the power it needs without getting too much too quickly, thanks to the capacitive power supply.
