ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Car costs

Cars cost money to own and use. You need to pay for the car itself when you buy it, and then you have to pay to keep it running. To keep your car running, you need to pay for fuel (gas) to put in the tank so that it can move, and you also need to pay for regular checkups (to make sure your car is running well) and sometimes repairs (to fix things that break). You might also have to pay to insure your car (so if something bad happens, you won't have to pay a lot of money). Owning a car can be expensive, but it can also be helpful since it makes it easier to get around.
