Carbon–nitrogen bond

When two atoms, one made of carbon and the other made of nitrogen, come close together, they can stick to each other and make a bond. This bond is like a very strong hug between the atoms, it holds them together and makes them stay close. This is called a carbon-nitrogen bond.

This bond can happen in many different compounds, like proteins, DNA, and even in the air we breathe. It helps these compounds to stay together and do their jobs. For example, in proteins, the carbon-nitrogen bond helps to hold the amino acids in place, which makes the protein strong and able to do its job in the body.
