Carving

Carving is a way to make something with a piece of wood. You start by using a tool (like a knife or a chisel) to cut into a piece of wood in the shape you want. As you keep going, you start to see the shape coming to life. Eventually you can sand it down to make it smooth and then you can paint, stain, or seal it so it will last a long time.
