ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Castle clock

A castle clock is like a big clock that looks like a castle. It has big numbers so you can tell what time it is. The numbers might be roman numerals or regular numbers like 1, 2, 3, and so on. Sometimes there are little pictures or decorations around the numbers that make the clock look even more like a castle.

But there's more to a castle clock than just the way it looks. Inside the clock, there are gears and wheels that work together to make the clock's hands move. Depending on how the gears are set up, the hands will move at different speeds or in different directions.

In some castle clocks, there might also be little figures or animals that move when the clock strikes a certain hour. For example, at noon, a little knight might come out of the clock and hit a bell with his sword. It's like a little show that happens every time the clock tells the time.

Castle clocks are special because they are usually very old and have been around for a very long time. Some of them were made hundreds of years ago! Even though they might not be as accurate as the clocks we use today, they are still very important because they are a part of history and show us what life was like a long time ago. So, a castle clock is not just a regular clock, it's a special one that also tells us stories about the past.
