ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ceiling fan

A ceiling fan is a big fan that hangs from the ceiling and spins around to make the air move. It has long blades that spin in a circle to make a breeze. When it's hot outside, and you're feeling hot and sweaty, turning on a ceiling fan can cool you down by moving the air around you. It's like a big wind that blows on you, but it's way more gentle than a real strong wind.

Ceiling fans have different settings, like high, medium, and low. You can choose how fast the fan moves and how cold you want to feel. Some fans even have a light attached to them so they can light up a room while they cool it down.

Ceiling fans can be really helpful to use in the summertime because they use less energy than an air conditioner. That means they can save electricity and money on your electric bill. Plus, they make a nice little humming sound that can help you fall asleep at night!
