Central composite design

Central composite design is a method of testing that helps scientists and engineers understand how different factors affect something. It does this by testing different combinations of factors and measuring the results. Scientists and engineers use a central composite design to test things like how different amounts of ingredients interact in a recipe, or how changes to a machine design affect its performance.
