Charge pump

Imagine you have a toy bucket and you want to fill it with water. But the water is very low and you can't scoop it up with the bucket. What do you do? Well, you can use a charge pump!

A charge pump is like a toy water pump that helps you fill up your bucket even if the water is too low. It works by using some magic to make the little bit of water that is there move up and down really fast.

When the water moves up and down, it creates a kind of energy that the charge pump uses to pump up even more water. So you end up with more water in your bucket than you expected!

In technology, a charge pump is similar. It is a little device that helps to increase the voltage, or electrical power, in a circuit. Sometimes, the voltage might be too low to make the circuits work properly, but the charge pump comes to the rescue.

It uses electronic switching devices, like transistors, to make the voltage from the power supply "jump up and down" really quickly. This creates energy that the charge pump can use to increase the voltage even higher.

So, just like the water in the bucket, the charge pump can make a little bit of voltage go a long way. And that's how toys and technology both use charge pumps to get more out of less!
