Charles Bonnet Syndrome is a condition where someone with poor eyesight may see things that aren't really there, like shapes or patterns, or even people and animals. It's not the same as hallucinating, because the person knows that what they are seeing isn't real. Most of the time the pictures move around, but they can still look pretty real. Scientists think that Charles Bonnet Syndrome happens because the brain tries to make up for not getting enough sight information. So it basically tries to fill in the blanks by making pictures.
