Chemical graph theory

Chemical graph theory is the study of how atoms and molecules are connected. In this type of science, each atom is represented as a circle and each connection between the atoms (a "bond") is represented as a line. By looking at these circles and lines, scientists can figure out different things about how the atoms are held together! Chemical graph theory can help scientists understand how different molecules work and it can also help them find ways to create new drugs and materials.
