ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

MATH/CHEM/COMP

Math:

Math is like a big box of tools that helps us understand the world around us. It helps us count things, measure things, and solve problems. Imagine you have a puzzle with a bunch of pieces and you're trying to fit them all together. Math is the tool you use to figure out which piece goes where, and how many pieces you have left to complete the puzzle.

Chem:

Chemistry is the study of what things are made of and how they react with each other. Imagine you're playing with a bunch of different colored playdoughs. You can squish them together to make new colors, or poke them to see what happens. That's kind of like chemistry! Chemists use special tools to study what different elements and molecules are made of, and how they react when they're mixed together.

Comp:

Computers are like really smart machines that can do a lot of things for us really quickly. They help us with things like sending messages, playing video games, and even solving math problems. Imagine you have a robot friend who can do anything that you tell him to do. That's kind of like a computer! But you have to tell him what to do in a special language he can understand. That's where computer programming comes in - it's like writing a special recipe for your robot friend to follow, so he can do exactly what you want him to do.
