Chemosynthesis

Chemosynthesis is a way that some organisms (like bacteria) make food from chemicals in their environment. Chemosynthesis does not need light like plants do for photosynthesis. Instead, these bacteria use energy from chemicals in the environment and combine it with nutrients like carbon dioxide to make food.
