Okay kiddo, sometimes when we are born, we are given a label of being a boy or a girl. But sometimes, some kids might feel like they don't fit into the label they were given. For example, a little boy might not like playing with cars and trucks and instead might want to play with dolls or wear dresses like his sister. Or a little girl might not like playing with dolls and wearing frilly dresses, and instead might want to play with trucks or wear pants all the time. This is called childhood gender nonconformity.
It's important to remember that there's nothing wrong with feeling this way. Everyone is unique and special in their own way, and it's okay to like different things from what other people might expect. It's important to let kids express themselves in the way that they feel most comfortable.
Sometimes, people might bully or make fun of a kid who is gender nonconforming. But it's important to remember that it's okay to be who we are, and we should never let someone else make us feel bad about it.
If you ever feel like you don't fit into the label you were given, just remember that you are special and unique, and there's nothing wrong with being yourself.
