Circe

Circe is a character from a very old story called the Odyssey, which is an epic about a famous Greek hero named Odysseus. In this story, Circe is a sorceress who lives on a magical island. She has the power to turn people into animals!

When Odysseus and his crew land on her island, they become scared and confused because they don't know what's going on. Circe invites them to a feast and even gives them a lovely potion to drink. But to their surprise, this potion does not make them feel good – instead, it turns them into pigs and other animals!

However, there is a trick to this spell. Before they even get to the island, Odysseus has been warned by a goddess named Hermes, that he should protect himself with a special herb called moly. This herb will stop him from becoming an animal like his crewmates.

So, Odysseus takes this herb and tricks Circe into turning his friends, back into humans. He even ends up staying with Circe for a while and they become friends. She helps him find his way home by giving him advice about how to get past dangerous obstacles and monsters on his way home.

Overall, Circe is a fascinating, though slightly scary, character who teaches us to be careful who we trust, but also shows us the power of kindness and friendship.
