Circus (performing art)

A circus is a place where people perform for an audience by doing lots of fun and exciting things, like jumping through hoops or swinging on a tightrope high up in the air. The performers are called circus artists, and they spend many years training and practicing their skills to become really good at what they do.

Circus artists can do lots of different things, such as riding horses, juggling cups and balls, doing flips and somersaults, and even taming lions and other wild animals. They may also wear colorful costumes and makeup to look extra special and catch the audience's attention.

The circus usually takes place in a tent, which is like a big house made of fabric that can be put up and taken down easily. Inside the tent, there are special seats for the audience to sit and watch the performance.

When you go to the circus, you'll see lots of different acts and performances. A ringmaster will introduce each act and tell you a little bit about what the performers will be doing. You'll see lots of exciting things happening at once, like clowns making jokes and doing silly things, acrobats flipping through the air, and strongmen lifting really heavy things.

In the end, everyone in the audience claps and cheers for the performers, and they feel very happy and proud of what they've done. The circus is a really fun and exciting way to see lots of different types of performing arts all in one place!
