Class action

A class action is a legal case where a group of people join together and sue someone. Basically, courtroom cases can be very costly and complicated, so if a lot of people want to take on a company or a person, it's much easier to sue all of them together as one big group. This way, the people in the group don't each have to pay to sue the company themselves.
