ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Classifying stack

Hey kiddo, have you ever played with blocks and stacked them on top of each other? Imagine you have different shapes and sizes of blocks like squares, rectangles, and triangles. The way you stack them can be called a "classifying stack".

Now, let's say you want to put all the square blocks together in one stack, and the rectangle blocks in another stack, and the triangle blocks in another stack. This is called "classifying" the blocks based on their shape.

To do this, you need to look at each block and see what shape it is. Then, you put it in the correct stack based on its shape. This is like sorting the blocks.

Now, imagine instead of blocks, we have words. We can also "classify" words into different groups based on their meanings or how they are used. For example, we can classify words as verbs (action words), nouns (names of things), or adjectives (describing words).

Just like with the blocks, we need to look at each word and see what "group" it belongs to. Then, we can put all the verbs together, all the nouns together, and all the adjectives together. This is called "classifying" the words.

So, "classifying stack" is basically a way of grouping things together based on some criteria or characteristic. It's like sorting things into different piles, like putting all the same shaped blocks together or all the same type of words together.
