Clibanarii

Clibanarii were soldiers who lived a long time ago, in a place called the Roman Empire. They were like knights who rode on horses and wore special armor to protect themselves in battles.

The special thing about clibanarii is that their armor was very heavy and thick, like a tank! They wore helmets that covered their whole head and neck to protect them from getting hurt. Their armor would also cover the horse's body to protect it from getting hurt too.

Clibanarii would ride their horses across the battlefield and charge into the enemy's army. The armor kept them safe from weapons like swords and spears that the enemy soldiers would try to use on them.

Even though the armor was very heavy and hard to move in, clibanarii were very brave and strong soldiers who fought to protect their people and their country.
