A climate emergency is a serious situation that happens when there's a lot of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other air pollution in the air. This is called greenhouse gas, and it traps more heat in the atmosphere and makes the world warmer. Carbon dioxide is made when things like cars and factories burn fuel like coal and gas, so when there's a lot of pollution in the air, it's a warning that the world is getting warmer. To make sure the world doesn't get even warmer, people have to do something to stop this air pollution, and that's why a climate emergency is declared, so everybody can focus all their attention on solving this problem.
