ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Climate governance

Climate governance is a way to make sure that people are doing everything they can to take care of the planet, so it can stay healthy for a long time. Just like you need to take care of your body by eating healthy foods, exercising, and getting enough sleep, we need to take care of the Earth by doing things like using less energy, using less plastic, and planting more trees.

Climate governance is like a big team of people who work together to figure out how to protect the planet. These people include scientists, government officials, business leaders, and regular people like you and me. Everyone has a role to play because it’s important for us all to work together to keep the planet healthy.

The team comes up with rules and guidelines for how we can use our resources wisely and be kind to the planet. These rules might include things like laws that limit how much pollution factories can make, or guidelines for how much energy we can use at home. They might also come up with new ways to use renewable energy sources like wind and solar power.

In short, climate governance is all about working together to take care of our planet and make sure that it stays healthy for future generations. It’s not always easy, but it’s important, and we can all do our part to make a difference.
