ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Climate sensitivity

Climate sensitivity refers to how much the Earth's climate (like temperature) changes when there is more carbon dioxide, a type of gas, in the air. Carbon dioxide traps heat and makes the Earth warmer, like how a blanket holds in the heat when you sleep. So, when the Earth has more carbon dioxide in the air, it can become much warmer. Climate sensitivity says how much warmer it could become.
