Clinical lycanthropy

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes people pretend to be animals, like meowing or barking? Well, sometimes, some grown-ups feel like they are really turning into animals, like wolves or other creatures.

This is called clinical lycanthropy. It's a rare mental illness where a person believes that they are transforming into an animal. But it's not just a feeling or an act, they really believe it's happening to them.

These feelings can be so real to them that they might start to behave like the animal they think they are. For example, they might start howling, growling, and even try to run on all fours like a real animal. It's like they forget that they are human and think they have actually become a different creature.

Doctors and psychologists can help people with clinical lycanthropy by talking to them and giving them medicine, so they can feel like themselves again. It's important to remember that this is a medical condition and not something that can be controlled by the person who has it.
