Close combat

Close combat is when people fight each other by getting really close to each other. This means they use their hands, feet, and sometimes even weapons to try to hurt each other. When people fight like this, they can't run away easily and they have to stay very alert so they don't get hurt. It's like when you play tag with your friends and you have to touch them, but instead of touching, you use your fists, elbows, knees, and even your head to try to hit someone in the other team. It's important to always be careful when fighting like this so nobody gets seriously hurt.
