ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Closet drama

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of a closet drama? It's when someone writes a play that's meant to be read and not performed. Like when you write a story in your diary, it's just for you to read and not for other people to act out.

So imagine you're a really good writer and you write a play that has a great story, characters, and dialogue but you don't have the actors, costumes, or stage to actually perform it. You might write it as a closet drama so that people can still enjoy your play by reading it.

It's kinda like creating a movie script but not making the movie. It's still a fun way to express your creativity and share your work with others.
