Codex Alimentarius

The Codex Alimentarius is a set of standards, guidelines and codes of practice that help make sure food is safe and healthy to eat. It is an agreement between countries to use the same standards so that everyone can trust the food they buy. For example, the Codex Alimentarius teaches countries how to make sure food is safe to eat, what conditions food should be stored in, and how food should be labelled.
