Coffin birth

Okay kiddo, do you know what a baby is? Well, sometimes when a lady is pregnant and she passes away (which means she is not alive anymore), the baby inside her can get stuck, and even though the mommy’s body is not alive, the baby is still growing inside her.

This can make it very difficult for the baby to come out and it can cause something called “coffin birth.” It’s called that because sometimes when the baby finally does come out, it might happen after the mommy has been buried underground in a coffin.

It might sound a little scary, but it’s actually kind of interesting. The technical name for a coffin birth is “postmortem fetal extrusion.” That’s because the baby is “extruded” or pushed out of the mommy’s body even though she’s no longer living.

When a mommy passes away, her body can start to release certain gases and fluids which can build up pressure inside her tummy. This pressure can make the baby come out of her body even though she’s not able to push him out like mommies usually do.

But, don’t you worry, kiddo. Coffin birth is actually really rare and it doesn’t happen very often. Plus, there are lots of people who work hard to make sure that mommies and babies stay safe and healthy, so even if something like this does happen, they will take care of everything.
