ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cognitive geography

Cognitive geography is all about understanding how people think about different places. It looks at how people remember maps, places, and landmarks in their minds. For example, cognitive geography might look at how someone remembers the streets they take to get to school, or the layout of an amusement park they visited once. Cognitive geography is like making a mental map of the world and how people view it.
