Wayfinding

Wayfinding is a set of techniques that helps people find their way from one place to another in an unfamiliar environment. Wayfinding can use signs, symbols, maps, sounds, and even smells. When people use wayfinding to get around, they are better able to remember where they have been and how to get back there. Wayfinding is like following a treasure map! When it's time to find a destination, you look at the map and figure out the best way to get there, using symbols and other clues to help you along the way.
