Cold War

The Cold War was a time in history when two countries, the United States and the Soviet Union, did not fight against each other with actual weapons, but instead argued, competed with each other and threatened each other. They argued and competed over many different things, including economic systems, governments and borders. Both the US and Soviet Union had many different kinds of weapons, so they would threaten to use them against each other if they disagreed on something. It went on for many years, and in the end, neither side won but both sides were tired of the conflict and eventually stopped arguing.
