Collaborative mapping

Collaborative mapping is when lots of people work together to put information onto a map. People look at satellite pictures, old maps, and sometimes they visit the places in person. They all work together to include new information, like where parks and buildings are and the roads that connect them. Together, they can create a useful map that lots of people can use.
