Collapsar

Ok kiddo, do you know what a star is? A star is a big ball of gas that gives off light and heat. But sometimes, when a star runs out of fuel, it explodes in a big way.

Now, sometimes when a really big star runs out of fuel, it doesn't explode like a regular star. Instead, something really crazy happens. The star collapses in on itself, kind of like a balloon that you let all the air out of. And when this happens, something called a "collapsar" is created.

A collapsar is very special because it has a lot of energy trapped inside it. This energy is so strong that it can create powerful jets of light and matter that shoot out into space. Scientists think that these jets can actually create new stars!

So even though a collapsing star might seem like a scary thing, it can actually help create new things in the universe. Pretty cool, huh?
