Collegiate wrestling

Okay kiddo, so collegiate wrestling is a sport where two people (usually boys in college) wrestle against each other. They wear a special kind of tight clothes called a singlet that helps the referee see what they are doing.

The wrestling match is made up of three periods, each lasting two minutes. During this time, the wrestlers try to take each other down to the mat and pin them using different techniques like throws, takedowns or holds.

The goal is to have more points than the other wrestler at the end of the match. Points are given for taking someone down, escaping from a hold, and if someone pins the other wrestler and they can't move.

There are different weight classes for wrestlers that make sure they're of a similar size to compete against each other.

Collegiate wrestling is really cool because it teaches people to be strong and healthy, it helps them develop their skills and strategy, and it's also fun to watch. Plus, wrestlers get to be part of a team and have a lot of fun competing against other colleges.
