Colombian Americans

Okay kiddo, so you know how some people are from different countries, right? Well, Colombian Americans are people who were born in Colombia but now live in the United States.

They might speak Spanish at home and also know how to speak English. Colombian Americans might celebrate some of the same holidays as you do, like Christmas and Halloween. But they also have their own Colombian celebrations, like Independence Day on July 20th.

Colombian Americans might also enjoy special foods from their country, like arepas and empanadas. And they might listen to different kinds of music, like salsa and cumbia.

Even if they don't live in Colombia anymore, Colombian Americans are still proud of their heritage and where they came from. It's just like how you might be proud of where your family came from.
