Color agnosia

Color agnosia is when someone has trouble recognizing colors. Imagine if you saw a ball that was blue, but you didn't know it was blue. You might call it a ball, but you wouldn't be able to say what color it was.

People with color agnosia might have trouble telling different colors apart, even ones that look very different, like red and green. They might also have trouble remembering what colors are called.

This can happen because of damage to the brain, like after a head injury or stroke. The parts of the brain that help us perceive and recognize colors can be affected.

But don't worry, just because someone has color agnosia doesn't mean they can't still see things or understand the world around them. They just might need some extra help learning and remembering colors.
