ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Comenius programme

The Comenius Programme is like a big adventure in learning for kids, where schools from different countries come together to explore and learn from each other. Just like when you go on a trip with your family, you get to experience new things, see different places and make new friends.

In the Comenius Programme, kids and teachers get to do the same but in a school environment. They have fun activities, like art projects, music, sports and science experiments, which help them learn about the culture and traditions of the different countries.

The programme is named after a famous man called John Amos Comenius, who was a teacher a very long time ago. He believed that all children should have the opportunity to learn and explore different ideas and cultures. So, the programme is like a tribute to him and his ideas.

By being a part of the Comenius Programme, kids get the chance to improve their language skills, practice communication and teamwork. This helps them grow into well-rounded individuals and helps them appreciate the diversity that exists in our world.

It is a fantastic programme that brings together children from all over Europe and helps them become global citizens.
