Commercial aviation is when people pay money to fly on an airplane from one place to another. It's like going on a big adventure! Think of it like a big metal bird that can take you to different parts of the world really quickly.
The people who work on the airplane are called the crew. There's a pilot who drives the plane, a co-pilot who helps the pilot, flight attendants who help the passengers and make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, and other people who work behind the scenes to make sure everything is working properly.
Before you get on the plane, you have to buy a ticket. The ticket is like a special piece of paper that says you're allowed to be on the plane. When you get to the airport, you have to check in and give the people at the airport your ticket. They will give you a special piece of paper called a boarding pass which tells you which gate you need to go to get on the airplane.
Once you're on the plane, you have to buckle your seatbelt and listen to the instructions from the crew. They will tell you what to do if there's an emergency, like if there's a problem with the plane or if the weather gets bad.
During the flight, the crew will give you things like food and drinks to make the trip more comfortable. They might also show you movies or TV shows to help pass the time.
When the plane lands, you have to wait until it stops moving before you can get up and get off. You will then follow signs to the baggage claim area to get your luggage. And then you're ready to start your adventure in a new place!
