Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities

Okay, so you know how mommy and daddy take you to the doctor when you're not feeling well and the doctor checks you out to make sure you're healthy, right?

Well, just like that, there are special places called rehabilitation facilities where people go when they're sick or hurt and need help getting better so they can go back home and do the things they love.

But, just like there are good doctors and bad doctors, there are good and bad rehabilitation facilities too. That's where the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) comes in!

CARF is a group of people who visit these rehabilitation facilities and check to see if they are doing a good job at helping people get better. They make sure that the therapists, doctors, and other people who work there are trained and know how to help patients in the best way possible.

If a rehabilitation facility meets CARF's standards and does a really good job at helping people, they get "accredited" which means they get a special certificate that shows they are a good place to go when someone needs help getting better.

So, basically, CARF is like a team of superhero doctors who make sure that people who need help are getting the best care possible at rehabilitation facilities!
