Community-supported fishery

A community-supported fishery is like having a group of friends who want to eat fish. Instead of each person going to the store to buy their own fish, they all work together to order fish from a fisherman or fishing boat.

The fishermen catch the fish and bring it to the group of friends at a special place called a pick-up location. The friends come to this pick-up location to get their fish. Usually, people pay for the fish ahead of time so that the fishermen know how much to catch and the friends know how much fish they will get.

This way of getting fish is good for a few reasons. First, it is good for the fishermen because they know that they will sell all of their fish to the community-supported fishery group. Second, it is good for the friends because they know where their fish is coming from and they can trust that it is fresh and healthy. Finally, it is good for the environment because the fishing boats can catch only the amount of fish that the group needs, so they won't overfish and harm the fish population.

So, a community-supported fishery helps fishermen, friends, and the environment by working together to provide good, fresh, and healthy fish for everyone.
