Okay kiddo, let's talk about something called Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). It happens when someone goes through really scary or horrible things, like being hurt or abused over a long time. It's like when your leg hurts if you fall and scrape it, except C-PTSD is inside your head, and it can make someone feel very upset and scared even when nothing scary is happening.
When people have C-PTSD, it can make them feel all kinds of things at once, like really angry or really sad or really scared. They might have trouble sleeping or eating, or get sick a lot. They might not want to be around other people, or feel like they can't trust anybody.
Sometimes people with C-PTSD can feel like they are back in that scary or horrible place again, even if they are safe and sound. This is called a flashback, and it can be really scary. They might feel like they are reliving the scary thing that happened to them, even though it's not really happening anymore.
But the good news is that people don't have to feel this way forever. There are ways to help people with C-PTSD feel better, like talking to a therapist or counselor who can help them work through their feelings. With the right kind of help, people can go on to live happy and healthy lives.
