ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Compound verb

Okay imagine you want to do two things at once like play and eat your cookie. You could say "I want to play and eat my cookie." The words "play" and "eat" are two actions you want to do, right?

Now imagine you want to say this in Spanish. You might say "Quiero jugar y comer mi galleta." You'll notice that there are two verbs: jugar (play) and comer (eat). This is what we call a compound verb. It's like two verbs stuck together to make one meaning.

So a compound verb is just two or more verbs that are joined together to make one idea. Just like your cookie and your play time!
