Compressed air

Have you ever blown up a balloon or blown out a birthday candle? When you blow out air, you are sending little invisible pieces of air out from your mouth. Now imagine if we took a bunch of those little air pieces and squeezed them really tight so they took up less space. That is what we do with compressed air!

Compressed air is air that has been squished really tightly into a small space, like a balloon or a tire. It is made by using a special machine called an air compressor. An air compressor is like a big pump that takes in regular air and squeezes it until it becomes compressed air.

Compressed air is used for all sorts of things! It can be used to power tools like nail guns or drills, and even to fill up car tires. It can also be used in factories to power big machines that make things like toys and cars.

But be careful, just like with a balloon, if compressed air is released too quickly, it can be dangerous. That's why it's important to use special tools and follow safety guidelines when working with compressed air.
