Rotary-screw compressor

Imagine you have a toy that you need to blow air into to make it bigger. A rotary-screw compressor is like a big, powerful version of that toy.

A rotary-screw compressor has two big metal screws that turn around very fast. They are kind of like two big corkscrews that twist around very quickly. Air comes into the compressor and gets trapped between the screws. As the screws turn, the air gets pushed along and squeezed down, getting smaller and smaller. This makes the air get stronger and stronger - like blowing really hard into your toy makes it bigger and stronger.

Once the air is super strong, it gets pushed out of the compressor and into a container, like a tank or a pipe. This is where it can be used to do things like power tools or even run factories!

Overall, a rotary-screw compressor is a big machine that uses twisting screws to make air super strong so that it can be used to do important things.
