Reciprocating compressor

A reciprocating compressor is like a big squishy toy that helps us move air or gas from one place to another, but it does it in a very special way. It has a little engine inside it that helps it suck in air or gas and then squeeze it really, really tightly so that it becomes smaller and more compressed. Then, it pushes the compressed air or gas out into pipes or tanks where we can use it for things like filling balloons or powering machines. Kind of like when you squeeze a balloon to make it smaller and then let go to make it bigger, but the compressor does it automatically and really fast!
