Computer numeric control

Computer Numeric Control (CNC) is a way of controlling machines that use numbers instead of people. Instead of a person controlling a machine, a computer is used. The computer follows a list of instructions, called a program, to tell it what to do with the machine. The computer looks at the program and the numbers and uses them to tell the machine what to do. It can move the machine in a certain way or make it cut or drill something. With CNC machines, you can make a lot of things very quickly and accurately, like cars and airplane parts.
