Conclavism

Okay sweetie, so you know how when the leader of the Catholic Church, the Pope, dies or resigns, they have to choose a new Pope? Well, historically, they would do this in a big gathering called a conclave where the Cardinals, who are important leaders in the Church, would come together and vote on who should be the next Pope.

But sometimes, people disagree with the way the conclave chooses the new Pope. Some people might think they didn't choose the person who is the most holy or qualified for the job. So, these people might choose to break away from the Catholic Church and form their own version of the Church, with their own chosen Pope. This is called conclavism.

Basically, conclavism is when people don't agree with the way the Catholic Church chooses its leader, so they create their own Church with their own chosen leader. But it's important to remember that there is only one true Pope recognized by the Catholic Church.
