Conquest (military)

Conquest (military) is when a country or group of people use their military power to take control of another country or land. This usually involves fighting and conquering the enemy forces and occupying the conquered territory. In order to do this, the conquering army must show their strength, so they might use lots of tanks and planes and soldiers to overwhelm the enemy. Once they take control of the land, they will take the resources and use them to benefit the people from their own country.
