ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Consumer movement

The consumer movement is about people coming together to look out for each other when dealing with companies. These people work to make sure that companies are treating customers fairly and providing them with the best products and services they can. They look out for people who aren't getting a good deal and try to fix it. Often they write letters or have a meeting to let the company know what they think and to try to get them to change the way they do things. Companies listen because they want customers to be happy and keep coming back.
